Fully Equipped Workshop
At Hatz GB we have a fully equipped workshop. This includes cleaning facilities, testing equipment, cranes for easy handling of the engine components, spray booth for paint spraying of small items and a full selection of special tools to carry out work on our Hatz Diesel engines. All our staff are factory trained in our purpose built training facility in our parent company in Ruhstorf (Germany).
Engine Testing (Dynamometer)
We test all engines at Hatz GB. Our new engines are tested, reconditioned engines, and repaired engines are tested to check that the power is correct. This is very beneficial when our customers are not sure if it is the engine or the machine that is not performing. The two machines below allow us to bolt our engines onto the base plates and check the power with the two electrical breaks.
This in turn transfers information to a set of computers that gives us the power readings. The result can be logged onto a graph and a printout can be obtained.
Emergency Repair & Warranty Work
Our aim at Hatz GB is to give the best service possible. We not only have a fully equipped workshop at Hinckley, we also attend to site work as well. In today's world of time costing money we are here to help. This can apply to new or old engines, they are as important as each other. General Repair Work
In our fully equipped workshop we also offer a facility for general repair work. No job too big or small. From changing a washer to replacing a crankshaft, we are very competitive on price for all type of work.
This work is all carried out in our workshop at Hinckley, but we have the opportunity to have some engineering work carried out by a third party. All this type of work comes with a one year return to base warranty.
Reconditioning Work
We offer a full range of reconditioning work at Hatz GB. See the different stages of this process detailed below.
The first picture is how most of our reconditioned engines come to us. The engine will be fully stripped and a full assembly kit would be provided to the workshop. This would contain most of the relevant parts needed (bearings, gasket sets, fuel injection equipment, electrical equipment, fuel related items, complete set of exhaust and inlet valves, piston & cylinder).
When the engine has been rebuilt it is tested on our test bench (dynamometer) for at least 2 hours. This gives us the opportunity to make sure the engine will perform 100% and there are no leaks from the engine and all electrical items and fuel injection equipment are working. After this test the engines are painted and the engine panels are fitted to the customer specification.
This would be the finished engine. The engine would have the customer's requirement, exhaust position, correct voltage 12 or 24 volt, engine speed and power requirement.
